G5 Purpose and need:
|
New development on the west side of Lackman Road and south of 175th Street is rapidly increasing traffic on Lackman Road between 159th ST and 167th Street. Traffic projections show that the maximum capacity of the existing two-lane roadway will be met prior to 2025. Johnson County and Olathe are convinced that additional traffic capacity as well as the needs of an active biking community need to be addressed. Also, linking residents west of Lackman Road to the amenities in Heritage Park in a safe manner is urgently needed.
