There are currently no bike/ped facilities on N. Antioch Road in this area. Project will complete a missing link in the sidewalk system and improve access to activity centers along M-1 and NE 72nd Street and recreational opportunities including direct access to the Shoal Creek Trail, Rock Creek Trail, Happy Rock Park, Atkins-Johnson Farm and Museum, and the Big Shoal Heritage Area. The project will provide direct access for single family and multi-family housing located along the roadway.

G17 Relevant Public Engagement:
|
Public engagement started in 2003/2004 during development of the Pleasant Valley Road Alignment Study. Further public input was obtained during development of Phase 1 of the Pleasant Valley Road Project.

The project is included as part of the Citys major street plan and routinely discussed during open study sessions. The City also utilizes the services of Northland Neighborhoods Inc as a resource to reach out to disadvantaged populations.
